Mindray BeneVision N Series Patient Monitor Overview

The BeneVision N Series is Mindray's flagship patient monitor line — from a medical device group with over 30 years of experience in patient monitoring. The family comprises five main models: BeneVision N22, N19, N17, N15 and N12, together with the BeneVision N1 transport monitor, forming a continuous monitoring ecosystem from pre-hospital emergency care through to the ICU bedside.

The N Series' biggest differentiator is its modular design: a compact main unit that detaches from the display, letting hospitals configure flexibly, upgrade parameters, and maximise their equipment investment. In a world first, the BeneVision N22/N19 display can ROTATE between landscape and portrait orientation, delivering a taller or wider clinical view whenever needed.

Clinical Assistive Applications (CAAs)

The BeneVision N Series does more than display numbers — it supports clinician decision-making through Mindray's proprietary CAA suite:

• HemoSight™ – a hemodynamic support application suite that helps clinicians rapidly assess circulatory status and make treatment decisions.

• SepsisSight™ – supports screening, diagnosis and treatment of sepsis patients in line with Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC) guidelines.

• BoA Dashboard™ – an anesthesia dashboard that helps achieve optimal anesthetic effect throughout surgery.

• ST Graphic™ – fast, accurate detection of changes in ST segment values.

• EWS (Early Warning Score) – identifies patients at risk of physiological deterioration.

• GCS – Glasgow Coma Scale, recording the patient's level of consciousness.

Connectivity and Hospital System Integration

BeneVision N Series patient monitors are built for the paperless hospital environment, based on a 3-layer network architecture that adapts readily to existing IT infrastructure:

• Connects to the BeneVision CMS central monitoring system and eGateway to share data with HIS/CIS/EMR through a standard HL7 interface.

• The BeneLink module collects data from up to 4 bedside devices (ventilators, anesthesia machines, infusion pumps) and synchronises it into the electronic medical record.

• The iView module integrates a computer within the monitor, providing direct access to PACS, LIS, HIS/CIS and EMR right on the monitoring screen without any additional server or gateway. Its fan-free design optimises cooling and reduces cross-infection risk.

• Wirelessly connects to the TM80 and BP10 patient-worn modules, along with the BeneVision N1 transport monitor, ensuring continuous patient data from emergency care through transport to the ICU.

Clinical Applications

The BeneVision N22/N19/N17 suit the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), cardiac operating rooms and major surgical cases requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring. The BeneVision N15/N12 suit operating rooms, the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), the Emergency Room (ER) and general intensive care units.
